Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System, located in beautiful Spartanburg, South Carolina, is seeking OB Hospitalists (Nocturnists) to join a new and rapidly growing program. This role offers the opportunity to work in a high-volume, well-supported clinical environment while enjoying an excellent work-life balance with a nocturnist schedule.
Program Highlights:
- Busy 14-bed Labor & Delivery unit with over 3,800 deliveries annually and 12,000 OBED encounters
- Support from an OBGYN residency program, providing opportunities for teaching and collaboration
- Hospitalists attend all deliveries, emergency OB consults, and provide coverage for a 6-bed OBED
- Double physician coverage model with Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) support
- 24/7 in-house OB anesthesia, Level III NICU, and Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) availability
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide coverage for OBED/emergency and unassigned patients
- Deliver call coverage and assist private OB/GYN physicians with deliveries and gynecologic emergencies
- Collaborate with private OB/GYNs, who retain care of their own post-operative patients
Schedule:
- Full-time: 12–14 shifts per 4-week block
- 12-hour night shifts (7 PM – 7 AM)
Compensation & Benefits:
- Earning potential exceeding $400,000 annually
