Description

Leading the future of health care

Kaiser Permanente / The Permanente Medical Group

The Permanente Medical Group, Inc. (TPMG - Kaiser Permanente Northern California) is one of the largest medical groups in the nation with over 9,000 physicians, 22 medical centers, numerous clinics throughout Northern and Central California, and a 75-year tradition of providing quality medical care. Our family medicine residency opened in July 2018 and has been successful recruiting competitive candidates from across the country. We are currently seeking Family Medicine physician leaders to join our team in the following faculty role:

Kaiser Permanente Santa Rosa Family Medicine Residency (KPSRFMR)

FACULTY OPPORTUNITY

Santa Rosa, California

Our residency program boasts:

  • Unopposed, full-scope training, educating 18 family physicians to provide compassionate care and improve the total health of individual patients, families, and the broader community.
  • Full ACGME accreditation
  • UCSF affiliation
  • Community partners, including FQHC Petaluma Health Center

Family Medicine Teaching Faculty

Join our outstanding team of faculty, staff, and residents as a Family Medicine Teaching Faculty. The Kaiser Permanente Santa Rosa Family Medicine Residency (KPSRFMR) is seeking a family medicine physician with demonstrated administrative skills to join an outstanding team of faculty, staff, and residents to provide high quality programs and services to our community and residency. Our unopposed, full-scope training educates 18 family physicians to provide compassionate care and improve the total health of individual patients, families, and the broader community. We are fully ACGME accredited and affiliated with UCSF.

Our family medicine residency opened in July 2018 and has been successful recruiting competitive candidates from across the country. As we’ve expanded to having all 18 residents across our three-year curriculum, the need for dedicated time to schedule, evaluate, and standardize the curriculum has become readily apparent. We are searching for teaching faculty who practice full-scope family medicine (obstetrics not required), with teaching experience in undergraduate and/or graduate medical education and some experience in curriculum development, implementation, assessment, and/or scheduling.

Teaching faculty spend ~ 50% of their time teaching with protected time for administrative responsibilities, and ~50% of their time as a panel-carrying, family medicine physician and therefore, are required to be 0.9 FTE or 1.0 FTE. Successful candidates will be leaders in providing high quality, patient-centered healthcare and have experience developing, implementing, and assessing curricula at the graduate or undergraduate medical education level.

SANTA ROSA/SONOMA COUNTY OFFERS:

  • A taste of the Good Life and everything in between – redwood groves, coastal views, whale watching, and rolling farmland.
  • A family-oriented, LGBTQ-friendly, and ethnically diverse community.
  • We are located less than 1 hour from San Francisco and less than 30 minutes from the Northern California Coast, Redwoods, and countless wineries.
