Situated in a rich agricultural setting, local residents enjoy year-round recreational choices including hiking or biking on over 50 miles of paved trails, 600 acres of public parks, swimming, water skiing and boating on numerous rivers and lakes during the summer, and snow skiing, hockey and ice-skating in the winter. The economy is well balanced with shopping and dining, manufacturing, service industries and higher education.

Mankato is home to Minnesota State University-Mankato, Bethany Lutheran College, South Central Community College and Rasmussen College, which have a combined enrollment of over 20,000 students. Minnesota State University offers a variety of advanced educational opportunities including a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Doctoral Nurse Practitioner (DNP) degrees. Gustavus Adolphus College, located in nearby St. Peter, MN, is one of the nation’s premier liberal arts colleges with an enrollment of over 2,500. The Mankato Clinic actively supports and participates in teaching with these colleges and the university. Mankato offers excellent private school options and the public-school system ranks in the top 17% nationally.

A multi-specialty group practice offers many advantages and benefits to its members. A primary advantage is the elimination of administration and management problems, leaving the doctor free to practice medicine. Also, the opportunity to begin practice with no capital investment is a major advantage since the Clinic provides office space, exams rooms, all instruments and equipment. Other advantages include a built-in referral base for specialists, flexibility scheduling time off and a comprehensive tax-sheltered 401(k) profit-sharing plan.
